How important is Stress Management?
Regardless of who you are or what your situation is, it is important to practice stress management to maintain your mental and physical health. In today’s busy world it may seem like you have so many responsibilities and obligations that you never get a chance to slow down enough to worry about stress management. However, if you are very busy, because of the effect excessive stress can have on your mind and body, you cannot afford not to practice stress management.
Constant, continual stress is the worst type, and most individuals today have exactly that type of stress to deal with. Over time, stress can wear out your body and leave you feeling tired or lacking energy. That creates the beginning of a cycle, as you won’t have the energy to get out and enjoy the things you do like that can help you release tension. Not only that, an overall lack of enjoyment and loss of energy from continual stress affects your mood and quality of life. You’ll eventually feel like everything is an effort and you don’t enjoy life much anymore, moving from task to task like a worn-out robot. Breaking this cycle is of utmost importance.
